PIONEERS World Mission
Pioneers is a mission agency that trains and equips those with a desire and heart to share God’s word in Muslim countries. They have relationships with more than 2,500 churches across the country. And now, 120 staff in the U.S. at their headquarters campus in Orlando. Our Grace EV Free support of PIONEERS this year helps the following project: Since gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, most families in Kazakhstan find themselves in poor economic times. Factories and large agricultural enterprises have almost shut down. In rural villages, conditions are worse where the family's garden, sheep and cow are the only sources of food or income. Also, many face difficult water situations. In one village of 250 households (1,700 people), none of the taps supply water. Parts are corroded or worn out. Some taps have been split by frost while for others the water pressure is too low to function. As a result, the village water is poor to alarming. The local hospital does not have a water supply or an indoor plumbing system. One PIONEERS missionary is working with a local non-government organization to rebuild this village water system and train staff to manage it. The missionary reports, "We have found that providing for a basic need is an excellent way to show God's love and intimate relationships. We are ministering through our professional backgrounds by addressing real physical needs (and) have had many opportunities to share the gospel with villagers.
